TravelMap is not a social media app so your followers won't see your latest updates automatically unless you send it to them. So you can either:
- share the link to map manually to your contacts every time you update it
- share the link to your map on a social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, etc.)
- send an email alert to a list of contacts (see details below)
Send an email alert
If you don't want to use any of the first 2 options listed above, you can alert all your followers via email at the click of a button.
This option "Alert followers" requires having a Premium Plus account
- open your TravelMap administration
- click on the envelope icon to open the Messages page
- click on the button Alert followers

Manage your contacts
You'll first need to add a list of contacts.
You can click on the Contacts button on the Messages page to add, edit or remove contacts manually from your administration.

Additionally, once you pay for a Premium Plus account, you'll see an extra "Follow" page accessible from the menu of your public blog.
This is where your followers can enter their email address to receive your updates.

Sending the alert email
It's important to understand that emails won't be sent out automatically every time you update your blog. This would lead to too many emails being sent and it'll feel like spam.
So once you've updated your blog and want to share it, you'll need to:
- open the Messages page of your administration
- click on the button Alert followers
- edit the default message if you want
- click on Send

Important: you can only send one alert email per day. So make sure everything is ready to go before hitting "Send"
