Creating multiple book versions

You can create multiple versions of your book to split your trip into separate parts, volumes or sections — useful for long trips that exceed the maximum 300 pages per book, or to organize content by region, theme or year (e.g., a 500-page trip can be split into two volumes of about 250 pages each).

Creating a new version

Open the Book page and click on the New version button at the top.

New version button and version switcher at the top of the Book page

A copy of your current book will be created and you'll be taken to the new version. From there you can:

  • uncheck the spots you don't want in this version
  • adjust the title, subtitle and cover image
  • change any other options (theme, photos, posts, etc.)

Each version has its own spot selection, options and orders — changes to one version don't affect the others.

Selecting spots quickly

When dividing a long trip across versions, the spot list can get long. Two shortcuts:

  • click the checkbox at the top of the spot list to select or unselect all spots at once
  • shift + click a spot to select a range — click one spot, then shift + click another to toggle every spot between them

Save your changes

Every time you change which spots are included or update an option, click the Generate button at the bottom of the page to save your changes. Your version is only saved when you generate it.

Switching between versions

When you have more than one version, the version names appear as buttons at the top of the Book page. Click any name to switch to that version.

Ordering multiple versions

There is currently no cart, so each version must be purchased separately. Place an order for the first version (see How do I order my book?), then return to the Book page and switch to the next version to order it.

If you'd prefer a single payment instead of paying for each version separately, contact us.

I'm currently working on a complete documentation section with tutorial for each feature.

Meanwhile, don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or suggestions.
